My four legged children (cats) Murron,Summer, and Jester. (Jester being the EVIL

extra mile for you. Wine and American TV
Things I Loath:
Cruelty to animals, people who are bullies, people who criticize Lara & Tomb Raider,
when they have never even played the game.
Why I like Lara & Tomb Raider:
I first discovered Tomb Raider when I bought a play station mag and a demo of
Tomb Raider 1 was on the front. Well, I stuck it on, started playing and was
hooked. I couldn't get over the way Lara moved. The puzzles were brilliant and
the game was so scary to play but exhilarating all at the same time. It never
ceases to amaze me, that other games are just full of poor imitations, and
totally unchallenging. Other games just don't cut it. Nothing can touch it.
Let's face it, no one swan dives like Lara! There is still something fascinating
about the first Tomb Raider game. I know the graphics now aren't great (at the
time they blew me away) But the whole
feel of the game is so atmospheric. I think the game that has captured that aura
since then is Chronicles.
Similarities to Lara:
When I'm in Lara mode, I feel I can do anything. She is a great role model for
women every where, sassy sexy yet with a venerable side that can kick ass. I
don't like to be pushed around & bullied, and I like to see fair play. And
I'm always up for a challenge.
Why I would like to enter the contest:
My 40th birthday is coming up at the end of the year, and my hubby suggested a
fancy dress based on Film heroes & heroines. So I had a think and just had
to pick Lara, and while I was researching on the web, I came across this site,
which I think is great. I had dyed my hair brown (sick of doing my roots as I
used to be blonde) and saw the contest. I ummed and ahhd and thought why not,
all these girls on this site must have some real guts!
I had a bad experience at work and had to leave my job because of it, and I have
not been able to work since, the incident totally shattered my confidence. But
because of this site and contest, it has helped me build some
of my confidence back up again. And I thank you all so much for that. I have
really enjoyed the forum and deciding what costume to make. It's certainly been
a challenge (ESPECIALLY THE HOLSTERS!!!)
But I think we can all relate to that one.
Thanks so much for welcoming me with open arms, and good luck to everyone.
