Introduction to me:
Hello all fellow Lara Croftie's! I have to admit that I'm a relative new comer to the whole Tomb Raider experience, but I'm absolutely hooked (some
might say obsessed!!). After seeing the film I knew that I had to dress up as
Lara, and since then have bought a Play Station and the Tomb Raider games. I initially made the costume for a university Halloween party, and got such a
good response from it, that I knew that it had to be done again. One of my biggest successes as Lara, was a promotion I did in my local supermarket to
advertise the Tomb Raider video. Well, you would not believe the response I got. People were asking me for autographs and asking where I shot the film
and was I making a sequel etc etc. You could argue that English people are a bit thick, but I like to think that I pull off a very convincing movie Lara!!
So what can I say about myself! I've just finished a three-year BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and got a 2:1 classification. Next year I'm going to do
my PhD, hopefully in the area of rheumatology/immunology, with a view to go into research. In the mean time, I'm looking for a temporary job in a
laboratory to give me experience.
My favorite hobby is horse riding, which I have been doing since the age of 18 months!! I rode for the university equestrian team for the three years I
was there, and was team captain for the first two years. That's where I've
probably got my Lara legs from, as horse riding is a really good muscle toning exercise! I also go to the gym in my spare time just to try and build
my muscles up and make myself look a bit more like Lara.
I also enjoy music, especially classical and opera, so I try to go to as many concerts as my social schedule will allow. I also play the clarinet and the
piano (not very well I have to admit). Apart from all that, I like to socialize with my friends as much as possible, although most of them have
gone their separate ways since we graduated this summer.
So, onto the photos I have sent you. Unfortunately I could only send you two, as none of them had suitable backgrounds and my brother only had time to
alter two of them on his computer. The first one (Lorna T1) was taken in my local supermarket during the promotion, so it had shelves of vegetables in
the background. Good job I'm not entering the best location photo!!!! The second one (Lorna T2) was taken on a night out, which probably explains why I
look a bit worse for wear! The quality is not very good, but at least it shows you a back shot of my outfit. I have to thank my brother for his time
and expertise on these photos, as they took him quite a while to do!
