Hi, my name's Eveline and I'm 20 years old. I am from Switzerland where I
live near city Berne, the capital
of our small country. I like sports, some not very usual ones for females, and
so are my interests too;) First, I ride motorcycles since 2 years and my first
machine was a 125ccm Honda MTX. Recently I got a 600ccm machine and ride it as
often as I can now. Then I'm very interested in weapons (I shoot since several
years
with a rifle and got some honours too, and already shot once with a pistol and
was impressed!) and
finally joined the army last summer and learned how to shoot in combat,
dismantling and cleaning the weapon
(although I was able to do that before also) etc. During this 15 weeks of
military formation, I made
lots of exceptional experiences and I could say I'm a dead shot. From 33
soldiers I was with the best 3.
Most of the colleagues all the time were men, and the requirements were high.
But I did it, without ever the
sense of giving up. I was fire & flame, because for me it was the way to get
to know myself really and I
could feel adventure. No one and nothing could change my mind about risking it
to join up, and that's what
I'm proud of. Important is that you just stay yourself, and be modest *G*!! Lots
of people were
impressed because I did that and others just couldn't understand it. But - use
your brain. Why did I do
that? Exactly.. to make extraordinary experiences. Also I like swimming in the
river, I love water!! No
matter how cold the temperature in the water, it's my element!!! Most times when
I go swimming with friends
I'm one of the first who's in the water already, and then hear them saying:
"What, are you crazy?? The
water is too cold, isn't it??!";) Recently I overcame myself and jumped
twice down a bridge, just for the
feeling!!! To go on further, I can't let it be without an adrenaline kick..! So
with snowboarding in the
mountains for example. All the time I'm searching for a challenge, and so a year
ago I went freeriding for a
weekend. That means not to go there were everyone is skiing but somewhere off
the road, where are no other
people at all, in the deep, wide snow. We were a small group of participants who
didn't know each other well
at the beginning, and after a non-relaxing day we spent the night in a cheap
cottage. Most of the people
left already the after-noon before. They said it was "too exhausting",
"too cold", "not enough to eat",
"too bad weather" and "too hard snow", but I didn't left
until it was over!!! Once I begin something, I'm
giving it all to finish it. And it was really GREAT!! It was worth the effort,
because the second day was
double as good as the first!! It was beautiful, you know the nature, the
untouched snowhills etc. all in
all an overwhelming feeling!! I was very amazed. We were not many challengers
anymore that day, and at the
top of the hill we could sign a guestbook which was only reserved for those
people which got onto!!! We
were all winners up on there, and the atmosphere was indescribable. The trip was
quite exhausting all the
time, because we made all the way up on foot.. yeah sometimes we almost CLIMBED
up the hill, the knees
deep in the snow, and every move hurt. With backpacked snowboard everyone and a
little food. On the mountain then, finally, we put the snowboard under the feet
and packed the snowshoes on our back, and then were riding (or boarding?!!) it
down the hill again *G*!! I never made that before, and it was hard, but so
exciting!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a very adventurous trip and a cool experience..!!! I
could say Tomb Raider
flows in my blood...!
I enjoy to play video games whenever I can, means all TR games of course, Dino
Crisis 1+2, Metal Gear Solid
1+2, Resident Evil3 Nemesis and Code Veronica X, Parasite Eve2 (P.E.1 isn't
available here in PAL-Version, damn!!! Or can you help me out;)??), Smuggler's
Run 1+2... FREEKOUT of course!..Greetings to Crusty Demons, you're the G R E A T
E S T ! ! ! *G* Love you A L L ! ! ! ! (do you write to me??)
there is no ending, but they're all PSX and PS2 games.
And watching movies too, for example mangas/animes like "Ghost In The
Shell" and "Armitage The 3rd", also Indiana Jones Trilogy, Alien
1-4.. I also love The Fifth Element because of the great play of the two main
characters.. In consideration that Milla Jovovich is a model, she played very
sweet and with much enthusiasm! Also thrillers and horror are nice change
sometimes. Jim Carrey's Ace Ventura is fun, and also Hot Shots I+II ;). It's sad
if someone can't laugh anymore..-
Yeah I do like art very much, I'm a creative vein I found out, but I could make
more out of it than now.. hm...!*G* Let's see in the future. I listen to all
kind of independent and alternate sound, also rock, punk, goth, metal and
crossover etc. Most important not everybody is liking it! It should have or be
something special, and an expression. I love dirtbikes, overall Motocross (I
never did it yet myself really, but recently I met a person who will perhaps
show me very soon.... takes me to the race and who knows... perhaps one
day.......*G*!!!),
Supercross, Freestyle MX.... What I'm longing to do is also riding jet skis on
water, snowmobiles, driving
off road trucks, pick-ups, buggies.. be at rallyes, *G* and diving... That's a
dream of me I want to become true one day!! I only need time..and money;)!!! I
would like to meet dolphins in real. Also fascinating to me are wild animals
like panthers, snakes, spiders and so on.. No Fear!! Then I love extraordinary
tattoos and piercing and by the way, I got tattoed this year!! YES!!! It was
quite a unique feeling;J I almost can't wait the next one;) What I prefer are
biomechanicals and everything about skulls and evil..;) I think it's important
to have a meaning behind a tattoo. For me, it has many meanings. If an artwork
on someone's own skin is meaningless, it is worthless. I'm very interested in
Greek and Roman mythology etc. and all the mysteries that exist. Lara Croft as
Tomb Raider influenced me a lot. But I think a female (and even if she is
pretty!) just with a ponytail, lipstick and a gun in her hands isn't what makes
Lara out of her!! There is much more important, the sense, the expression, the
attitude behind, the charisma....I never would like to be a simply copy of her.
Everyone is individual and should stay its own person. Don't dream your life -
live your dream!!
About the games and the movie: I have got every Tomb Raider game available on
PlayStation and played them
all through more than once. I can't stop it because I love the atmosphere and
the spirit of action/adventure
since 5 years.. nothing can really be compared to it!.. TR1-TR3 are my favourite
ones. I think Lara changed after these, means in my eyes TR4+TR5 she isn't
exactly the same character and person anymore. What I've
written as following is ONLY a small part of what I think all about it..*G* So
don't be surprised...
In TR1 my favourite level is the Lost Valley, because of the raptors and T-Rex.
The city of Vilcabamba and
all in all Peru was awesome!!! I very liked the wolves!! Yeah.. it's the
original game, and it is one with the most tension. Hunting for the scion is
really an adventure!!
In TR2 I especially like the underwater levels... 40 Fathoms, also because of
the sharks, and- oh yeah.. Venice because of the boat action and Tibet with the
jet ski trips;) Nice bomber jacket, by the way.. but in this snowy location I
would probably not prefer hot pants...! I think the producers Eidos/Core Design
had fun by timing lots of levers during the game.. you had to hurry up many
times so you didn't get a door shut in front of your nose:J Also a NICE SECRET
is at the end of the Great Wall level, because I really had the pleasure to meet
T-Rexes again!!! Yes, cool *G*!! In this game I remember very lots of action and
smoky
guns.
In TR3 the London and Nevada levels were very exciting to me.. I could feel the
freedom right under my skin
for example in the wilderness of Nevada Desert, and at the military base. In
Area51 I almost couldn't believe
it.. orca whales!!!!! As I finally found the entrance to this SECRET area and
jumped to them into the water
I felt... so happy.. I could feel them!!!! Recently I traveled to London myself
and was impressed by all the
similarities of this city (Tube Station, All Hallows, Aldwych.. all of it does
exist in real!!). The catsuit Lara is wearing there is GREAT!!! Comes near my
motorbike suit, which is also just black.. and genuine leather- Also I love the
camo pants in blue, in Nevada. Last but not least I very liked the quad bike
trips in India and kajaking in the Pacific, and the boat in Antarctica, it was a
nice change not to get too cold in the water;).
Also all the outfits at Lara's Mansion in any game are very attractive.
Got the movie with Angelina Jolie on DVD too. I can't imagine a better actress
for this exceptional role than her!!! She gave her best to impersonate Lara and
did great work. I heard there will be a continuation with her, and I am glad
about that she will play her again. But overall my opinion is, you can't declare
Lara to one person. No one knows her in real. She's got many faces, and is
individual to everyone.
