I currently
live in Leigh on Sea, Essex, a quaint fishing village famous for its cockle
sheds. I work within the Theatre as a Freelance Scenic Painter and Designer.
Originally I moved to the area for a year to work at the local Repertory Theatre
where I subsequently met my husband, Mark, and eight years later I am very
happily still here. I have a Step Daughter, Isabel who is almost four and
sometimes I think equally obsessed with Lara Croft.
Many thanks go to Mark for the time and effort he has put into helping me with
my costumes, particularly my gun belts, and for his undying patience during my
times of Lara madness! Especially for when we were fossil hunting on holiday
recently and much to his embarrassment I decided it was the perfect setting for
a photo shoot and whipped on my costume!
Why do I like Lara? She is a great role model for the modern woman, strong, fit,
courageous and allowed to be sexy with it. For once a heroine with big hips and
she hasn't got the usual blond hair. A great female alternative to Indiana
Jones. Which is why these are the two characters that inspired us to have an
alternative wedding last year dressed as, yes you've guessed it!
